Additionally, users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region. The website's name stems from the colloquial name of books given at the start of the academic year by university administrations with the intention of helping students get to know each other better.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook with his college roommates and fellow computer science students Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes while he was a student at Harvard University.[5] The website's membership was initially limited to Harvard students, but was expanded to other colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and Stanford University. It later expanded further to include any university student, then high school students, &lt;a href="http://www.thebizvault.co.uk" rel="nofollow"&gt;home business&lt;/a&gt;, and, finally, to anyone aged 13 and over. The website currently has more than 300 million active users worldwide.[6]&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Facebook has met with some controversy. It has been blocked intermittently in several countries including Syria,[7] China[8], Vietnam[9], and Iran.[10] It has also been banned at many places of work to discourage employees from wasting time using the service.[11] Privacy has also been an issue, and it has been compromised several times. As you guys mentioned, dictionaries (electronic ones are the worst) will often produce these crazy renderings that just don't make sense.  Or are words that I've never heard of, or would never use.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;My solution is to take a few minutes at the beginning of each class and explain any vocab that I think might be problematic for that lesson, using other English words that they do know. This term may be useful in the sense that it implies a student centered learning environment where the teacher facilitates the language learning. I am interested in how the teachers will integrate cell phones into the classes. I like the idea of students being able to keep up with the class if they are absent. I knew a couple of teachers that used cell phones for outside class assignments. They seemed to think it worked ok, but there were several problems with it.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;What school is starting this? I would love to contact some of the teachers who are planning to use this and ask them about their plans. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I agree, Universities/Colleges will probably not be controlled by computers. For now, I think that there are too many teachers who are scared of cell phones in class. In my collage, school will start "online-class".  The textbook would send to students' cell phone from the collage, so during class, students would take the class with opening their cell phone at all.  And also, when they are absent in theclass, the school would sent assignment to their cell phone so that they could know about the class.  Ive seen such the situation in only comic book.
